Texas attended his second dog show today, the Gröngölingen puppyshow arranged by Nordskånska KK in Hässleholm. Again he was entered in 4-6 months and again he was the only Dalmatian puppy. He got price of honour and became BOB-puppy. Later he came 2nd in the group, only beaten by the BIS-Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy. Judge in the breed as well as the group was Jannike Wallin.

Today Texas went to his first dog show, an open show at Veberöd Brukshundklubb. Just 4 months old he was entered in 4-6 months and "in stiff competition with himself" he won the class with price of honour. He was the only Dal puppy so he also became BOB-puppy. Later on he won Group 6 but was unplaced in the puppy-BIS. He behaved perfectly the whole day wagging his tail and giving kisses to everybody. He is a true joy to live with and we are very proud of his temperament, so steady and confident with a happy tail.

17 March 2007

Today at the International show in Malmö, Sweden, we had another great day. Kenya was entered in intermediate class which she won, but this time with CK. It was quite tough competition in this class and her sisters Spotnik's Coffee Cream and Spotnik's Calling Card placed 2nd and 4th, respectively. Later on Kenya won best bitch and thereby gained her second certificate and first CACIB. In the BOB competition we were more than happy to settle for BOS being beaten by topwinner "Zacco"... He finished the day by placing 3rd in the group and the Spotnik breeder group was 4th in the finals. BOB-puppy was Spotnik's Diva Deluxe, who is Kenya's half-sister and Pumbaa's grand-daugther. Second best bitch was another Pumbaa grand-daugther, Solbo's Holly from the junior class. Judge was Ludmila Fintorova and 49 dalmatians entered. BOB and CACIB to Ch Bell-a-Mir's Elegant Envoy, dog certificate to Export Selection The Astonishing, BOS and bitch certificate + CACIB to Spotnik's Crystal Crown. Photos: Flo

11 March 2007

When Kenya qualified for Crufts 2007 from junior class we decided to enter her and once more make that long tiring drive to the UK. But it was nice to be back and to see old friends, and to be able to show Kenya at Crufts. She was entered in Mid Limit and there she placed 3rd out of 20 entries, which we were very pleased with!! Her sister Spotnik's Calling Card placed 5th in Yearling. But what topped the day was when "Zacco" Ch Bell-a-Mir's Elegant Envoy won Open dog and then proceeded to take the dog CC!! His grandfather Ch Spotnik's Special Selection won the veteran class and ended the day winning the dog reserve CC! In the BOB competition Zacco was beaten by the current top Dalmatian bitch in the UK, Ch Dvojica Voodoo and got BOS. She was pulled out in the last 8 in the Utility group but was not placed in the end. Judge was Mr Malcolm Smith and he had 246 entries. BOB and bitch CC to Ch Dvojica Voodoo, reserve bitch CC to Ch Svolvaergeita's Crown Jewel (Norwegian import), BOS and dog CC to Ch Bell-a-Mir's Elegant Envoy, reserve dog CC to Ch Spotnik's Special Selection. So a good day for Scandinavia. Photo Lena
